Merecroft

Merecroft opened in July 2014 and is a registered Care Home with a Supported Living service sharing same site. It has been designed as a place for transitioning from full time residential care, into a more independent way of living, specifically for younger adults with learning disabilities and complex needs.

Merecroft is an eight bedded service which has six bedrooms in the main house and two- single service flats which support transition into supported living.

The main house has a large entrance hall with communal toilet, a large kitchen/dining room and lounge, with patio doors leading out to the tennis court and garden. The main house is also equipped with a quiet room on the first floor, for residents wanting a little bit of peace and quiet!

All bedrooms in the main house  have en-suite shower rooms, while the flats have fully fitted bathrooms, kitchen and lounge areas.

Merecroft support adults with a variety of learning disabilities, including  Autism, Epilepsy and behaviours that challenge, and residents are assured of a 1:1 carer to service user ratio.

The house is very modern and set in beautiful grounds, on a very quiet road in the peaceful village of Alvechurch.

Residents at Merecroft are encouraged to take part in various activities such as: Going to the Gym and College, Walking, Visiting the Nature reserve, Trampolining, Cinema, Meals out, Working in the garden and Days out to theme parks and to the beach.

Merecroft is registered with and regulated by the Care Quality Commission.
